World Tour of the Coquetdale
Despite the Show being cancelled the Rothbury Pipe Band were not to be discouraged. They have been attending the show for over 50 years to entertain the visitors and decided when the show was cancelled due to foot and mouth that they would continue to do their normal tour whether Alwinton Show goes ahead or not.
This image shows them coming onto the field after visiting the Rose and Thistle Pub in Alwinton Village.
If you want to see some videos of the Pipe Band Playing then visit the Alwinton Show You Tube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/alwintonshow
After the Band left the show field they continued their tour down the Valley ending in Rothbury at about 6pm.
